The Katie Philpott School of Dance

The Story so far...

The Katie Philpott School of Dance was established in 2000 by its namesake
to celebrate and share her passion for dance.

We're delighted to 'reveal' that our main venue at the Wellhouse Moravian Church in Mirfield now boasts studio mirrors.

Mirrors are an incredibly useful tool in dance training both for the student and teacher. They help dancers see themselves as their audience or examiner sees them. They provide visual feedback and therefore help students evaluate the height and shape of their movement and enable them to correct placement or body alignment. A major benefit is the teacher can view many students at once while still facing the same way as them when learning and perfecting new steps and routines. We are delighted that our main studio at the Wellhouse, as well as our smaller studio, now offers mirrored training to all students.

Don't forget the deadline for entry to the CHOREOGRAPHIC CUP is STRICTLY 1st February 2019 - NOT LONG NOW - so if you would like to take part email This email address is being protected from spambots.
